The Independent Creator Awards, created by Rob AnderSiN with Chuck Pineau, concluded this past March. The awards were given out during a multi-day podcasting event, where Tales Beyond writer & editor Kris Burgos accepted the award for Best Comic Short Story of 2020 for his work on "Ragnarok Come" with artist JP Vilchis. The story was originally published within the digital pages of Comic Book School's first Anthology "Creator Connections: Panel One" hosted by Buddy Scalera (Deadpool, Wizard Magazine).

Edited by A.A. Ruben and D Alley, the anthology itself also took home the award for Best Anthology of 2020. Another title from the Tales Beyond stable, "Teddies: Chapter 2" can claim some of the glory, also being initially published as part of the anthology, as a black-and-white story (written by Burgos and illustrated by Mike Ponce) prior to its full-color release at Tales Beyond, alongside the story's first chapter, earlier this month.

With all-around big things happening with the stories emerging from Tales Beyond, keep an eye out for more in the future, especially with upcoming podcast interviews and more announcements!
